Overview

SilverSafe AI is built for the moment after a scary phone call. Scammers work by creating urgency, so SAM creates a pause. Seniors call or text 844-8-ASK-SAM like they'd call a trusted friend, describe what happened, and SAM asks the right questions, points out the red flags, and tells them what to do next. Caregivers and adult children get a call or text when something looks off and can see past checks in the family dashboard.

SAM also checks links and images through the Scam Detector, including spotting AI generated photos, and can help document a scam and find the right place to report it.

Built by a Navy veteran now working in cybersecurity, a speech pathologist with 20 years of experience, and a serial entrepreneur. Plans start free with 2 checks, no card needed. Spanish and Canada coming soon.

Who is it for?

Older adults, and the adult children and caregivers looking out for them. Also senior living communities, credit unions and banks that want a scam resource for members.

Problem

Scams work by creating urgency. A senior gets a call saying a grandson is in jail or a bank account is compromised, and there's no one to ask in the moment. AI voice cloning makes the fakes convincing, and "just be careful" doesn't help someone who can't tell the difference.

Solution

The senior hangs up and calls or texts 844-8-ASK-SAM. SAM asks what happened, points out the red flags in plain language, and says what to do next. Caregivers get a call or text when something looks off and can review past checks in a family dashboard. The Scam Detector also checks links and images, including whether a photo is AI generated.

What makes it unique

No app, no download, no setup. Works on any phone, including flip phones, over a regular call or text. Most scam tools try to detect the fake; SAM gives the senior a pause and a second opinion that works whether or not the fake is detectable. Voice interaction designed by a speech pathologist with 20 years of experience working with older adults.

FAQ

Does SAM listen to my parent's phone calls?

No. SAM only hears what someone chooses to tell it. The senior hangs up on the suspicious call, then calls or texts 844-8-ASK-SAM for a second opinion. There is no monitoring, no recording of other calls, and nothing installed on the phone.

Do I need a smartphone or an app?

No. SAM works over a regular phone call or text message, so it works on a flip phone, a landline, or a smartphone. There is nothing to download or set up. Adult children who want alerts and the family dashboard use the website.

What does it cost?

Everyone starts with 2 free checks, no card required. After that, plans start at $19.99 a month (Essential), with Essential Plus and Complete adding more checks, caregiver alerts, and the family dashboard.
