Yes. On an iMac, an external display or an older MacBook it draws a small black island at the top centre of the screen and everything behaves the same.

Which Macs and macOS versions does it need?

macOS 14 Sonoma or later on Apple silicon. Macs without a notch get a simulated one.

Does it need an account, or send my data anywhere?

No account. Tasks, notes, the shelf, screen time history and AI usage all stay on your Mac. The only network calls are the one-time licence check and the daily exchange rates if you use currency conversion in the calculator.

Which AI tools does AI Usage read?

Claude Code and the Codex CLI. It parses the session logs they already keep locally, so there is nothing to connect and no API key to paste.

Which music apps does Now Playing support?

Apple Music and the Spotify desktop app. Playback in a browser tab is not detected yet.

How many Macs does one licence cover?

Two. Deactivate from Settings on one Mac and the seat frees up for another.
